"You don't quit EVE. You take breaks". True to a certain extent, but this puts an unrealistically positive spin on why I can't get my friends to play EVE Online.  A more realistic statement would be: "Occasionally. I get an EVE fix". For the casual gamer - EVE Online is not thought of as a workable form of entertainment. Yes, despite what MY brain is saying, EVE is supposed to only be entertainment.  Over my 10 years (on and off) of playing EVE - I've developed my own theories on why the player base is small and fails to grow with new expansions. However, I wanted to see if they held any weight.   I convinced my friends Kilslig (Scott) and Soulss (Joe) to login to their old accounts and show them the new Coop Abyssal Deadspace content (which they liked), but upon my asking - they explained their reasons why they no longer play.
